RescueME includes the following software in the download Dirms, Restoration and FreeUndelete. All other software options will require you to download the applicable programs via RescueME, please follow all the on screen instructions. If you are using a Firewall or running Windows XP SP2 you may need to unblock the download manager (download.exe) if you don't it may not be able to access the web and download the files. All the programs which you can install are freeware but some may require you to register in order to use them. For software to be included in the install section it must be FREEWARE. RescueME will only run on Win 2K/XP it may work on NT but I've not tested it.
If you want to run RescueME on Windows 9x, please run Rescue98.bat this is a modified version which doesn't use set /p _task=Enter task: parameter instead it use's choice.exe to select your options. Please note not all tools will run on Windows 9x, the defrag tools will not work and neither will FreeUndelete. All other tools should be fine but please check the vendors website to confirm that it will work on Windows 9x.

EZPCFix - If you're the one
that your friends and family members turn to for PC repair and virus/spyware
removal then you need to have EzPcFix in your toolkit and learn how to use
it.
No matter how good you are, this utility WILL save you
time.
EzPcFix.exe is a very easy to use (and free) program that I've been
working on to help you to cleanup your windows installation. It currently runs
on 2k, XP and 2003 (some functions may not work or will be limited with Win95,
98 & ME ).
Viruses, spyware and other types of advertising junk are
becoming a very painfull side-effect to accessing the internet today and this
problem isn't getting any better as far as I can see.
EzPcFiz isn't
designed to keep your computer from getting infected with this junk. It's
designed to clean it up "after the fact". Every "malware" program has to be
started from somewhere within your system, but finding out exactly what's
getting started (and from where) and how to remove it is the big problem. This
is exactly what EzPcFix does...

Restoration and FreeUndelete have been included in the download, do not save recovered files to the hdd/partition you are recovering from, always save to another hdd/partition/media (eg flash memory). I hope to add the option to install file recovery software in the future. If you need more options to try and recover your data I suggest trying UltimateBootCD4Windows
FreeUndelete has been added V1.3
You can now install Disk Investigator and Convar's PC Inspector, however you are better installing these programs before you need them. If you install them on a drive you are attempting to recover files from you may write over files you are attempting to recover.
